Highlights of the set: amazing powerful drums; La Toya Kennedy&#8217;s magnificent supple voice; the bass drop that was as loose and wild as it was elegant. They also brought two of my favorite things: some ragtime filigree, and heavy hypnotic drums. (Fans of the Felice Brothers and The Districts: This is a band for <i>you<\/i>.) They&#8217;ll be back at the Brooklyn Bowl again on June 11-12 with Talib Kweli and Res, for the <a href=\"http:\/\/northsidefestival.com\/\">Northside Festival<\/a>.
