I first heard Hawley when &#8220;The Ocean&#8221; was slipped into a mix sent to me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lyte-wrapper\" style=\"width:640px;max-width:100%;margin:5px auto;\"><div class=\"lyMe\" id=\"WYL_ynf0ERJVB9I\"><div id=\"lyte_ynf0ERJVB9I\" data-src=\"\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/ynf0ERJVB9I\/hqdefault.jpg\" class=\"pL\"><div class=\"tC\"><div class=\"tT\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"play\"><\/div><div class=\"ctrl\"><div class=\"Lctrl\"><\/div><div class=\"Rctrl\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><noscript><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/ynf0ERJVB9I\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/ynf0ERJVB9I\/0.jpg\" alt=\"YouTube video thumbnail\" width=\"640\" height=\"340\" \/><br \/>Watch this video on YouTube<\/a><\/noscript><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:640px;margin:5px auto;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t know what to make of it the first time I heard it. It sounded like an old lounge singer was trying to make another go at a career by using a new producer with shiny new gadgets, yet still using all the old musical tricks.
